• Scenes from the family's 5th month together. In which the baby is learning to hold onto his bottle, sit up, be gentle to the kitty, fly up in the air, and smile (not freeze) for the camera.
• Pictures from the last couple weeks, as Atty gets all the way up to 4 months. He can reach and grab, roll over, and nearly sit all on his own. His communication repertoire is a complex system of shrieks, spitting, dolphin squeaks, coos, and giggles. He's fun. {8/30/04}
• Hiatus over :)  , with new photo galleries:
  • Pictures from Julie, Johnny, and Bennett's trip up from Nashville. Color scheme in honor of the guys' trip to Fenway Park.
  • Atty, from mid-July to mid-Aug., the dog days, even up north.
• Of note: {updated Fri, 7/30/04} To make up for a lapse in updates, we present a film festival this week. If you have trouble viewing these videos try downloading the free DivX player. We are using Windows Media Player as our viewer but it seems to need the DivX fix.

• Weeks 10 and 11, in which Atty sees his 1st 4th, receives an incredible blanket from his great (truly) grandma, consistently [revision:err, somewhat] finds his hand with his mouth, "talks" a lot more, and fills his waking hours with smiles/giggles/flirtation (although I told him he had his Mom and me at "goo"). The bottle and consistent sleeping hours remain works in progress.
• Weekend with Pappy, as Beckie likes to call Atty's grampa L. Atticus himself has yet to decide on a name, but did seem to enjoy this bearded fellow. The gymini, pictured herein, is where @ currently does most of his happy contemplation, chattering, and hand-coordination work. And, the crib is now where the 9 week old does his nightly sleeping.
• Plus, a new very short movie of my dad doing part of a recitation for his grandson :)
• Weeks 7 and 8. Sorry for the downtime babyfans. I'll try to make up for it in the next few days. This last fortnight included Atty's first car trip, first ultimate tournament, first hotel, etc. And he got to meet his grampa, but that's the next group of pix.

• Scenes from the 6th week. He changes every few days it seems; last week's soothing car ride is this week's torture session; yesterday's small, vague sound is today's imitation of mom or dad. Nostalgia for our little newborn of April is setting in -- okay, that's (mostly) in jest, but things sure go quickly, and there aren't enough hours in the day if he's smiling at you. [6-June-2004]
• Nana and Grampa Dave's weekend trip, in which Atticus made his first trip away from both dad and mom, went to restaurants, and got even more love than normal. [1-June-2004]
• Pictures from Atty's 5th week, before Nana and Granpa Dave arrived. Pictures from the weekend soon (1 bonus preview) - but I bet not before Nana gets hers done :)
• Further baby/family life thoughts periodically on littler bear. [30-May-2004 11:08 PM]
• New pictures, of a nearly 1 month old. Included: fortune cookie fortunes, first subway trip, and a visit from Atty's Auntie Shauna. Beckie thinks he looks different nearly every day, but she may just be sleep-deprived. [20-May-2004 01:33 AM]
• Pix from the end of grandma's visit, and @'s 3rd week. This week has seen a couple of conceivable :) first smiles, the setting in of post-grandma reality, and Atty's first party, a shower at Tufts. [14-May-2004 11:34 PM]
• recent images, including first bath. Let's see: umbilical cord fell off, he sometimes can hold his pacifier in by himself, there's more awake time(!), and we now have a bath once every several days whether he needs it or not. [06-May-2004 07:40 PM]
• Index page for short film clips. AVI files - prob. best to right-click "save target as"; 1 from 1st few minutes out in the wide world, one from the hospital room last weekend. [02-May-2004 05:00 PM]
• new pix from the last few days. A week of firsts: 1st long night at home, 1st nail clipping, 1st car/shopping trip, 1st lick from the dog, 1st trip to the doc. So far, so great, and we're not too sleepy <says Dad>. [02-May-2004 04:15 PM]
